our little weekend trip.

We took a little weekend trip to SLC last weekend and had a BLAST! It was so much fun to be with my family all weekend! We started out our trip with lunch at The Family Tree in Santaquin, we LOVE this place! My family hadn't been there before so it was fun to take them there! It's kind of a tradition now! :) The scones are seriously HUGE! no kidding, all 4 of us ate 1 1/2! I love their food! our next stop was the mall of course! :) where I proceeded to by 11, yes 11 pairs of earrings. I have a problem. But I didn't feel bad for long, because the boys dragged us to Cabellas. Actually it was a lot of fun! Blake LOVED the fish! For Christmas my mom bought Beau and Scott tickets to the Blue Collar Comedy Tour (Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy) , so after we checked into the hotel and ate dinner, they headed down the street to the Delta Center ( I still cant bring myself to call it the 'Energy Solutions Arena') anyways so my brother took pictures, which I dont have, so you don't get any :) They boys said it was SUPER funny and Ron White wasn't there do it wasn't dirty. My mom and I hung out at the hotel, played phase 10 and watched dirty dancing. Blake wasn't too sure about his make-shift bed.We got up bright and early Saturday morning and went to Einsteins bagels for breakfast (another tradition of ours, we got there EVERY morning we are up north) I adore that place. Cranberry bagel, regular cream cheese. Thank you. I wasn't sure if we were going to get to go to temple square while we were up there since it was such a quick trip, but we got to stop by for a few minutes and get some pictures.

after the temple we got to go visit Beau's brother, and then go to IKEA where I went completely crazy! then, we went to a new place for lunch, that quickly became everyone's new favorite, it was called Rumbi's, its like an island grill place and it it YUM-MY!!!!! I guess we have a new tradition! It was a quick, fun weekend. Blake was a champ being in the car SO much! He was happy to get home and roll around on the floor! I love going to Salt Lake, we always have such a great time! I'm hoping we get to go again in a month or two!

Now it's back to yard work! I'm excited for how it's looking! next step... grass? :)

phew.

4 weeks. 8 photoshoots. (2 asked not to be posted online) My brain is on auto-edit. I'm lucky that i LOVE what I do, because it has consumed my life lately! I'm okay with that though! I feel so blessed to have a job (if you can call it that) that I get to stay home with my baby all week and then just work a few hours during the weekend! It's ideal to say the least!
Mr. B is getting so big! He is saying 'dadadadada' when he is happy and when he is mad or tired, he will say 'nananananonono' and 'maaaamaaaamaaa'. We finally bought him a high chair, only because he figured out how to get out of his bumbo! ;) He loves it though! and I love it because he doesn't move all over the place when he is eating! He is eating green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, and wheat biscuits now. Oh, and broccoli and cheese soup at brick oven ;) thanks to great grandma! He is at SUCH a good age right now! he will sit by himself and play forever with his toys, he sleeps all night most nights, and if he wakes up he usually just needs a little bottle and he is out for the rest of the night! he is taking steps better and better every day, and can pretty much get to anything he wants without a problem even though he cant crawl yet! Oh and he is officially no longer a binky baby! he wants NOTHING to do with them! Which is fine by me, I was a little nervous that he would be too attached and I'd never be able to get it away from him!
I am SUPER excited for this weekend! My mom got tickets for Beau and Scott to go see the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, so we are going to go up for the weekend and hang out! It's going to be nice to have a weekend off of pictures and yard work! (which is going GREAT might I add! we have sprinklers, plants, rock, and hopefully soon we will get grass and our garden in!)

And can I just add.... its monday. yuck. at least its raining, i love the rain. :)

It seems like just in the past few months I feel like I've 'got it'. I cant handle the whole I've got a kid thing. We've got a nice little routine going. wake up, bottle, play, bath, get dressed, play, nap... you get the idea. My favorite is bedtime though, pj's playtime, read a story, bottle, bed. I never knew routine could be so fun! I love having a baby, it makes life SO much more interesting and worthwhile! We seriously ask ourselves all the time what would we be doing if Blake wasn't here.

Life in general, is busy. I have at least 1, if not 2-3 photoshoots every weekend. Beau has been working like a mad man on the yards. Digging trenches, installing sprinklers, and all after a full day of work. He is such an awesome husband! Hopefully this weekend we will get rock and maybe plant grass! I am SO excited to have a yard to play in! I cant believe we have lived in this house for almost a year. It's nowhere near where we want it, but it is WAY better than renting! I love knowing that it's OUR house :)... well except for that we think our water heater might be going out, then we will be wishing we had a landlord!

The weather has been so nice, so we have had a few park dates. Blake wasn't too sure about grass, but I think he finally decided he likes it! He loves being outside, I will take him out in his stroller and we will just sit and watch beau work on the yards. He could sit out there for hours, he LOVES IT! he is getting SO big so fast! He is wearing 12 mo. clothes, drinking from a cup, and yesterday.. he started walking around furniture! We couldn't believe it! Its so fun to watch him grow up, but it makes me a little sad! The other night we were laying in bed, and my belly rumbled and it felt just like a baby kick (no I'm NOT pregnant. 100% sure) it made me miss having a baby in my belly so bad! I'm excited for when we get pregnant again (not too soon though) I absolutely adored being pregnant. It was honestly one of the happiest times of my life and I cant wait to do it again! And while I am on the subject of Blake getting bigger... can I just say that I hate buying new clothes every month! Thank goodness for kid to kid and target! I know some people out there are too good to shop at kid to kid, but not me! He grows way too fast for me to spend $100 a month on clothes! I just went the other day and got a ton of way cute stuff for summer for like $30!
I just had to add this. These poor frames have an identity crisis. They have been 4 different colors in their lifetime. black, red, green and now white. hopefully they stay this way :) and one more for the road :)

So I finally chose the colors for our bedroom redo!! Now to find the fabric for our quilt, a wreath for over our bed, and lots of fun accessories!

My baby is 6 months!

This little man is 6 months old today! He is so big and smart and happy! Every day Beau and I are at a loss of how we are lucky enough to be his parents! We get comments everywhere we go about how happy and cute he is! He amazes me every day at how much he is learning! Here's a few things about Mr.B at 6mo.
-He still take 3 naps a day. at 10ish at 1ish and at 530ish and then goes to sleep from about 8:30 to 7:00. LOVELY!
-He sits up without a problem and will sit and play forever with his toys!
-He rolls all over the floor
-He tries REALLY hard to crawl! He can get his knees under him, and his arms under him, but never at the same time!
-He blows raspberries when he is excited or really mad
-He is eating green beans, peas, and sweet potatoes and LOVES all 3. He could be eating a lot more, but I just forget to pick up new kinds!
-He isnt loving his binky too much these days, he really only needs it to go back to sleep if he wakes up in the middle of the night. Mostly he just likes to chew on it.
-He is drinking out of a sippy cup! :)
-He pouts out his lip if someone talks really loud or yells
-He loves to be outside.
-He jumps like crazy in his excersaucer.
-His hair is getting so long and crazy!
-He loves to play peek-a-boo
-He says DADADADA
-He puts his tongue in between his lip and gums and stretches out his bottom lip. And he will suck on his bottom lip and make smacking noises.
-He likes to suck his thumb and fingers. Well, not suck as much as chew on.
-He wears any size from 3-6 mo. to 12 mo!
-He lets you know when he is poopy!
-He loves the bath and loves to splash water EVERYWHERE!
-He is a DADDY'S BOY through and through!
-He is such a sweetheart and we love this kid to death!
Im really hoping I can get out and take his 6mo. pictures today, but I probobly wont get a chance :( why is it that the photographers family always get the shaft when it comes to pictures?
