a little bit of random.

I just had a little randomness to get out there into the world :)
Easter candy is going to be the death of me. seriously who thought it was funny to send us home with all this candy?
This kiddo could stay in the bath all day long. no joke he LOVES IT! he is such a cutie pie :)
I want white cabinets... SOO bad. I'm hoping that it will be our summer project. I think it will make our kitchen look so much bigger and brighter. But with new cabinets comes new countertops, which are pricey.
Am I the only one who eats croutons as a snack? I can't get enough.
I love this mr. b is learning to eat foods with his fingers... I do not love that he is picking up every little piece of anything off of the floor and putting it in his mouth.
Our bedroom redo is still on hold until I get a ladder. I was so excited to have plant shelves, but sometimes they are a pain in the buttocks.
I never noticed how many blankets I use when I am sick, until I have to wash ... every ... single ... one.
Blake thinks NO is a funny word apparently. on the same subject, I think its time to baby proof the house. bummer. I was secretly hoping who would be this super baby who never touched anything he wasnt supposed to and I wouldnt have to put things up higher. dream on stef. dream on.
I took all me easter down, but the tote is still sitting on the counter. and its a good thing, because I just noticed that I still have a sign up.
I love watching my baby boy sleep, but I can never do it for long because he is a really light sleeper.
I'm at a loss of what to make for dinner. I seriously went through a phase of making something totally new every single night, and now I'm burnt out.
whoops. just noticed another easter sign.
I forgot to take the trash out to the street this morning. This happens quite often. I finally called and ordered a second trash can. That was a good decision.
Guess where I am going this weekend? Vegas. Guess who I am going to see this weekend? Keith Urban. Guess who is the most awesome mom ever? Mine. Guess who is SUPER excited? Me. :)
Every once and awhile we will catch the little bugger with a binky, which he doesnt even like anymore, he thinks they are funny though, and I personally think he looks adorable chomping on it!
Look at all this hair. I've cut it like 4 times already.
I think I got all my thoughts out. I think. If not, I'll be back :)

Easter Fun... and some other stuff.

I'd better start with the fun stuff right? Well first off.... WE GOT GRASS!!!! YAY! I love it! Blake and I got out at least once a day and play, even though we arent supposed to for another few weeks, I cant help it! So heres the story that I promised in the last post...
We had decided to do seed instead of sod, because... well seed costs like $10... sod? $200. And I am a cheapo. So anyways we are out to dinner with some friends the other night and Beaus friend says something about sod. Long story short, Beau was going to 'suprise' me with sod the next day ;) I wasnt too happy at the moment, but after getting it in, I realized that it is TOTALLY worth the money! I cant wait to get the backyard done! oh, and dont pay attention to the dirt all over the base of our house, when we get all the yards done we will pressure wash it and it will look TONS better! Doesnt it look awesome! Beau did such a great job!
Easter was SOOO fun! We started on Friday with a BBQ out at little creek with Beau's dad. I forget how much I like being outdoors, I'm cooped up inside all day and our weekends are filled with photoshoots and yard work, I miss the days of fourwheeling, fishing and campfires. It was nice to get away even if it was just for the evening.
Blake and Bristol had a great time! It was fun watching them together since they are so close in age :)
This is how Blake gives 'loves'... with a headbut :)

Saturday morning we went back out to little creek and had an easter egg hunt. They hid around 200 eggs for all the grandkids, so they all made a haul! Even Blake, who kindly passed along his goodies to mom and dad ;)
After we got done there we headed over to Grandma Campbell's for lunch and more egg hunting!

Sunday after church we had dinner and more easter fun at my moms and then took a quick visit over to my dads :)

Just a cute Easter Picture of my boys :)
Monday we went out and took Scott's pictures for his missionary papers! It was a little sad, but I am SO proud of him! He is such a good kid, I cant believe how grown up he is! I'm happy to say that I only cried once during the photoshoot! :)

When Beau came home from work that night, he mentioned that his dad had gotten the flu. I didn't really think too much of it, until we were just about ready for bed when I told Beau that my stomach wasnt feeling so hot. Now you have to understand that Beau thinks I am a hypochondriac and that I always think I'm sick when I'm not. So he didnt really pay much attention to me and we went to bed. Weeell.... 5 "visits" to the porcelain throne later, I think he finally believed me ;) Needless to say it was a LONG night. I am not the best puker either. I have to sit on the floor for at least an hour before I can finally do it. so that it between 6-8 hours of sitting/kneeling on the bathroom floor. Not fun. (was that TMI? sorry.) Thankfully Beau called in from work so I could stay in bed all day, which is a pretty big deal for him, he doesn't even call in when HE is sick. But there was no way I could take care of Blake all day, I literally stayed in bed ALL day. I haven't been this sick in a LONG time, it sucks. Today I feel a little better, still not great but not as bad as the past few days.
On the bright side of things, our garden is growing GREAT! We've already picked green onions :) I cant wait for the rest!

All in all, life is great at our house :) I couldnt imagine a more wonderful life! I love my family!

no soliciting.

I'm not sure if it's this house, or this neighborhood, but we get SO many solicitors! I had been wanting to make some sort of no soliciting sign for our door, but I didn't want it to be the focal point. I was at a loss for what to do for a long time. Well when we had 2 within a week I decided I needed to do SOMETHING! I looked around online for an idea and came up with nothing, then I decided to just make a little sign and hang it above our doorbell, since our stucco has 10 billion nail holes in it anyways (stupid people before us) but as I was trying to decide how big it should be, I realized it would be a million times easier (and not look so tacky) to just put the vinyl on our window! I really like how it looks! It's big enough to see, but it isn't taking over our door or anything. Hopefully this will keep those wonderful sales people off our porch!
Please dont mind how dirty the front of our house is, we have been waiting to pressure wash the stucco and paint our front door until we get grass in.... which ironically is... TONIGHT! :) The husbter is picking up the sod on his way home from work! Funny story about that, but I'll save it for another post ;)

no title.

I hate trying to come up with titles for blog posts. So I'm letting myself skip it this time.
We had quite the weekend if I do say so myself!
Saturday I took my cousin's engagement pictures. Her and her brother are getting married like a week apart and I am doing BOTH of their weddings! Its going to be a crazy couple of weeks between bridals, ceremonies, receptions and editing! But I am really excited for them! So it will be fun! Anyways back to the photoshoot... we just went to downtown St. George and started out at the tabernacle, as we were walking past the splash pad, I jokingly suggested them hopping in.... well, this was how we ended our shoot! :)
Sorry I felt the need to add a ton of pictures... they are just SUCH a perfect couple! They were a blast to shoot! Days like that remind my why I love being a photographer.
Saturday was also Ramsey's birthday, so we went over there to party the night away. They had a projector set up in their carport, so we ate dinner and watched Tron. It was a pretty good movie, I was totally lost for most of it, due to the fact that for the first 15 min. I had to run home and get more formula. I love having friends so close. I wish we got together more, but I guess thats what happens when you have kids. It's fun to watch the next generation play together though. Bailey and Blake are finally getting closer to the same level where they can play a little better!
Justin and his gf Marcia, she was in town from England.
my wonderful husband and I. Thankfully Shaunie got ahold of our camera so we have some of us. There arent to many of those, and those thunder thighs I'm spotrin' make me dang glad!
Beau and his boys. Bryan, Josh, Beau, Rams, Justin, Blake and Chase.
Josh holding Mr. B
Shaunie didnt have any birthday candles, so Rams blew out a scented candle :)
another of us.
Allie and Chase with Blake. They are getting married at the end of may! We are sure excited for them to join us 'married's'
And here's one of the little mr. He still isnt feeling 100% yet. We made him a little bed on the floor next to ours because he hasnt been sleeping through the night. I feel so bad when he is sick and there isnt anything I can do. Its rough being a mommy! But those sweet smiles make it all worth it!
Saturday morning we also went yard sale-ing. (how would you even spell that out?) It's become my little addiction. I've been going every weekend and I love it! This time I went out looking for a ladder so I can finish our room (we kindly gave beau's step-dad his back after I held it hostage for a few months), and Beau was the one who spent all the money! He ended up coming home with a band saw and a air compressor. He actually got a SUPER great deal for them, so i couldnt be too upset, plus the band saw was mostly to do my projects :) I'm still not exactly sure what you use an air compressor for, besides pumping fourwheeler tires? Beau tells me I can buy a paint gun now though, so I'm all for it! Our garage is a disaster or I would of taken a picture. between 2 fourwheelers, 14 cases of powerade, 11 decoration totes, 3 coolers, the deep freeze, unused furniture, strollers, a HUGE stack of wood from the remodel, Beau's reloading bench, all his new tools, and all the other 'garage stuff' we coudlnt fit my car in there if we tried. Plus, The guy who lived here before was a tool junkie too, but not quite as OCD as Beau, because none of the shelving matches, and its placed totally randomly. There is also metal shavings embedded into the walls from some sort of tool the guy used. The next project after the yards is to re-vamp it out there. New shelves, new paint, new storage. Someday we wont look like rednecks when you open our garage.
Wait... I guess the elk/deer antlers will still be all over the walls, so scratch that... we will still look like rednecks ;)

I've had a slight dilemma the past few months. I am racking up pictures like a mad woman, and I am at a loss of what to do with them. I used to scrapbook, I have like 7 just from the time me and beau started dating to when Blake was born. But it takes way too long now, and no one ever looks at them! and I know that in 20 years when my kids actually care that I even did them, they will be totally out of style. I've thought about just printing regular pictures and just doing photo albums, but does that make me a bad mom? Personally thats what I like to look at when I go to my moms anyways. But I dont want to seem like I dont care enough to put the time into it? I'd love to hear what you all do!
My next dilemma is this darn house. I'm sick of the decorations I have. I'm currently obsessed with white. Which doesn't go well with my previous obsession with black.
I hate feeling like I live in a cave.
Someday I will have new counter tops, and white cabinets.
someday.
But now I am just complaining. so I'll be done for the day.
ta-ta.

oh wait. quick question. does anyone even read blogs anymore? or is it just me talking to myself?
because thats cool too.

sad little mister.

this poor little boy is sick :( Its been a rough 2 days for him. I still think the majority of it has to do with teething, but either way... its no fun.We spent a good chunk of yesterday watching the bee movie like this. he looks so pitiful. :( he is still a cutie though :)
this is how he acts most of the time though, so I really cant complain. other than the short naps and snotty nose, you'd never guess he was sick!

I gave Blake a saltine the other day and he went nuts for it! guess he likes salt just like his momma! I'm so glad he will eat anything. It's going to make things so easy on me!
Neither Beau and I are very picky though,
Beau doesnt like sour cream, tomatoes, onions and avocado.
I dont like anything pickled (except pickles oddly) or anything slimy/soggy.
So we are both pretty easy going. Good thing too... because I have been on an experimental kick with recipes! I have a huge long list of things to make up a recipe for or try.
Like last night, I made Bacon and artichoke chicken. I'd seen a recipe online somewhere but it didnt have bacon or cheese, and it had tons of mayo, so I winged it! I was a tad nervous, but it was a huge sucess! Beau even said to add it to our "regulars list", which is a big deal! I'm going to put the recipe up on the lovely little snippets blog later today.
I'm really excited to get our garden grown and be able to cook with fresh veggies every day! Since I had Blake I've had this overwhelming urge to make all our food from scratch. Not that we ever really had freezer food in the first place, Beau LOVES freezer pizzas and those chicken voila 'dinner in a bag' things. I've made that once, and wasnt a huge fan. I just think everything taste better if you make it. Dont get me wrong, we have our nights of cold cereal and hot pockets, but I would just rather eat a bean burrito that I made rather than one from a package. I even made rice-a-roni from scratch last night! and it was just as easy as the box kind, and I bet a billion times healthier! I dunno, I guess thats just the way my mom cooked, so its what I like :) But then again I LOVE to cook, and I know not everyone does. I think of it as a blessing that I actually enjoy being in the kitchen. I love having dinner ready for Beau when he gets home form work. Now if I just felt the same way about cleaning the house, we would be set! ;)

On another note...I have a confession.... has anyone ever noticed I have a MINOR addiction to earrings?
I had a few drawer full, and ever day I'd have to dump the out and spend 10 minutes finding a match. Well I got sick of it, so I pulled them all out, organized, and counted. 105. really? I have 105 pairs of earrings? It doesnt look like that many. But oh they are there. I thought, as I sorted through them, I'd get rid of a few pairs here ant there. I chucked one pair. one. so now I only have 104 pairs. It's a start right?
Anyways, moral of the story, I made this nifty little earring holder! I LOVE it! No more missing pairs, or broken pieces and piles of earrings on the floor before church :)

snowy weekend

Its been a crazy week for weather around here! Friday morning we woke up to snow! Blake LOVED it! I took him outside and he couldnt figure out why he wasnt able to grab the flakes! He was mezmerized! Anywho, the suprise snow turned our weekend of grass planting and photoshoots into a weekend of homemade chili and netflix :)

we had to get this picture, can you guess who this house cheers for? ;)

Saturday night we dropped blake off at my moms and went to dinner at honalulu grill, which was REALLY good, but we were shocked at how small the portions were :( then we did a little shopping, and beau dropped me off at Santa Clara City Hall to take pictures of my cousins prefrence group.

afterwards we got ice cream at iceburg, it was a nice little date night, even though I had to work right in the middle of it. I still love spending time with Beau, we never get sick of being together.
On sunday we went to Cedar City for our neice Presley's blessing. It was a lot of fun to be with Beau's family. We dont all get together very often anymore so it was nice to get to hang out for a bit! (we sure missed the zittings!)
Presley 7 weeks, Blake 7 months, Bristol 5 1/2 months
Its so fun to have these 3 so close together! Blake and Bristol were funny to watch! They are seriously the exact same size! it's a big change from when bristol was 1/2 his size!Pres wore the same dress her sisters wore when they were blessed :)

one more thing, we have had SO many people tell us that Blake looks like Jack Jack off of the Incredibles. I think he's cute, but I can see where they get that!
Hopefully this weekend we will get grass planted, and the sandbox built! I cant wait until the yards are done and we can just enjoy them!

A Marriage Prayer

"Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us. To work that love into practical things so nothing can divide us. We ask for words both kind and loving and hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive. Dear Lord, we put our marriage into your hands."
