Quinners :: 4 mo

This sweet little nugget is 4 months!
Where has the time gone!?
I swear in the last 2 weeks she has changed so much, I just cant keep up anymore!
A bit about our sweet Quinners girl...
She currently goes by :: Quinners, Quinna-roo, Quinnie, Sugar, Chunk, Chunky Monkey, Sweetie.
She has lost a little bit of her 'Diva-tude', it's been so nice that she will just lay on the couch and play with toys or watch everyone around her. I don't have to be holding her every second she is awake anymore, and that is wonderful!
She weighs 13 lbs 9 oz and is 25 inches putting her just below the 50th percentile (from what I can figure) which is what she's been since birth, so I cant complain there! Everyone comments that she is so tiny! Personally, I don't really think she is that little? But what do I know? She is super squishy still, like pilsbury-dough-boy-squishy. I love mushing her cute cheeks.
She is beginning to fit into 6 mo clothes. But for the most part, she's in 0-3 and 3-6 mo.
This little lady is a jabber box! She loves to talk and tells the best stories! She also loves to be talked to, or more like, talked around. She laughs and smiles like crazy when you talk to someone over her. It's so funny to watch!
She sleeps really great! She usually only wakes up once a night. Goes down anywhere from 8:30-10:30... wakes up around 2-3 and then sleeps until Beau leaves at 5ish. Then most mornings she wants to get in bed with me, which I don't mind, and then she sleeps until like 9:00ish. It's really not too bad! She sleeps way better in our bed than her bassinet though. But I am so not going to let her get into that habit, so she only gets it a few hours some mornings.
Her naps are another story. They are getting better, but they are sporadic, and short. So not fun. If I had to guess her napping schedule I'd say she goes down for 1/2 hour/45min around 11:00ish, then again at 1:00ish and again at 4:00ish. But really, there's no rhyme or reason.
She still needs a bottle to fall asleep most of the time, unless she is really tired. I'm okay with it. Blake did that, and he turned out just fine. She drinks 4 oz of formula every 3 hours, or if I can tell she isn't hungry, and just tired, I give her a splash of the baby apple juice in water.

She poops once a day still, is that TMI? I just want that for my information haha.
She found her feet and hands.
She is starting to really love toys! She especially loves Blake's toy airplane!
She isn't a huge binky fan anymore, she only takes it if she is super hungry, or really tired.
She loves tv. Just like her brother.
She has found her bows. OH HELP ME! I knew his day would come, but I was seriously dreading it! It's not that they bug her, or that she wants them off, she just plays with them. Sorry Miss, you're just going to have to live with them!
She doesn't like the heat. AT ALL.
I haven't started her on solids yet. I bought some rice cereal, and a mini food processer to start making baby food, but I've been crazy busy, so we haven't jumped into it quite yet. I did let her gnaw on an apple I was eating the other day. She loved it.
I am going to attempt making my own baby food this go-around however. I didn't with blake, haha to be honest, I was just so entranced by all those cute baby food jars, I never even thought about it. But I bought avacados, butternut squash, peas, sweet potatoes and bananas for her to try.
I've been contemplating getting her ear pierced. I know we'll do it, but I just cant get up the guts. I'm pretty sure I'm going to make my sister in law hold her while they do it! I don't think I can! I know I'll be sad when I get it done though! It makes babies look so gosh darn grown up! Hence, the reason I haven't painted her nails yet! I don't want her to grown any faster than she already is!
I seriously love this baby girl.
She fits into our family so amazingly well, I honestly cant picture our lives without her! Daddy is wrapped around her tiny chubby finger, Brother is so protective, and Momma cant get enough of those gummy smiles.
Happy 4 months Sugar! We love you!

A Marriage Prayer

"Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us. To work that love into practical things so nothing can divide us. We ask for words both kind and loving and hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive. Dear Lord, we put our marriage into your hands."
