last night of babysitting!

i do have to say that i am super excited to go home! i have been so homesick! tonight i finished watching Definetly, Maybe... it was a way cute show! a little scandelous to start out with, but if you can get past an eight year old talking about 'the birds and the bees'... then you should see it! it will go on to my list of watch agiain movies!

i got a call from the ward secretary today! we are meeting with the bishop on sunday to get callings! YEAH!!! finally after 4 months! our ward just split, so about half the callings are open, so i have NO idea what to expect!! i would love primary or young womens! i think either of those would fit me good, not so much anything in relief society, but who knows?! i think beau would do good in any calling, but i think he would really enjoy young mens.

i have been trying to get up the energy to start my jean quilt, my plan was to get all the squares cut while i was babysitting, but that didnt happen. i have SO many jeans! they are taking over my craft closet! i am really hoping to get it done before christmas! we'll see! this one isnt mine, but i am hoping mine will look something like this!

I'll tell you what my mom told me about RS when we were first married. I was complaining that is was so "old" and she told me it was my job to "young it up". I have lived by that rule for the last 12 years and it works great!!! Also, my best friend did a denim quilt once and put a big "C" in darker fabric in the pattern of the quilt for her last name... how cute would a big "S" look? Just something to think about. It was subtle enough that most people didn't even notice it, but SHE knew it was there!!!

Stef, I feel the same way (as hopie) about Relief Society! I have ALWAYS thought it was kinda old boring ladies singing opra, and talking about humanitarian aid n' stuff! But it wasn't until I went to the college ward, and realized that you learn the same types of things in R.S that you do in young womans! Now, in my home ward, these ladies are AWESOME! They have the best stories, and they LOVE the "youth" that me, and other younger girls bring into the R.S. so don't stress if you get called there! I HONESTLY see you going into primary though! That's my guess! :) You'd be darling, and it would be great practice for having kids!!! ;)
PS. your way ambitious for thinkin' of doing that quilt! Sheesh!

A Marriage Prayer

"Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us. To work that love into practical things so nothing can divide us. We ask for words both kind and loving and hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive. Dear Lord, we put our marriage into your hands."
